Geneva, 13 October 2026 – Syz Bank announced today the appointments of Marc Brodard as Head of Private Clients and Martin Freiermuth as Chief Operating Officer. These two high-calibre, senior hires bolster the Bank’s client-facing leadership and operating capabilities, as it continues to invest in its long-term growth.

As Head of Private Clients, Marc Brodard will be responsible for Syz Bank’s private client teams and will report to Philippe Turrian, Head of Wealth Management. His appointment creates dedicated leadership for the Private Clients business, alongside the Bank’s External Asset Managers business led by Etienne Billaud.

Marc Brodard brings more than 40 years of experience in banking, with a strong track record in leading relationship manager teams, developing private banking businesses and advising private clients directly. He joins Syz Bank from Banque Bonhôte, where he was Chief Client Officer and a member of the Executive Committee, responsible for the Bank’s client-facing organisation across Switzerland. He previously served as Head of Private Clients Switzerland and a member of the Executive Board at Schroder & Co Bank, as CEO of Hyposwiss Private Bank, as well as holding senior leadership positions at Credit Suisse.

The appointment will also enable Philippe Turrian to devote more time to the strategic development of Wealth Management, and to the Bank’s clients. Direct access to senior management is a defining feature of Syz Bank’s highly personalised approach to private banking.

Philippe Turrian, Head of Wealth Management at Syz Bank, said:

“I am delighted to welcome Marc to Syz Bank. He is an experienced leader with a strong track record of managing client-facing teams and supporting relationship managers. His deep understanding of private clients and considerable management experience will help us accelerate our growth. Marc’s appointment will also allow me to dedicate more time to our clients and to the strategic development of our Wealth Management business.”

Syz Bank has also appointed Martin Freiermuth as Chief Operating Officer. Reporting directly to Nicolas Syz, CEO of Syz Bank, he will join the Bank’s Executive Committee and will be responsible for Operations, Technology and Security. His mandate will focus on continuing to strengthen the operating and technology foundations that support the Bank’s clients, employees and future growth.

Martin Freiermuth brings more than 30 years of experience in financial services, including five years as Group Chief Operating Officer and a member of the Executive Committee at EFG International, where his responsibilities included technology, digitalisation, cyber security, operations, client administration, procurement and cost management. He previously held senior leadership roles at Banque Internationale à Luxembourg and Bank Vontobel, following earlier positions at McKinsey & Company and UBS.

Throughout his career, Martin Freiermuth has led the modernisation of banking technology and operating platforms, including core banking transformation, digitalisation and automation programmes. He has also strengthened cyber security and operational resilience and supported improvements in efficiency across complex banking organisations.

In his new role, he will focus on ensuring that the Bank’s operations and technology continue to support its client-centric approach, while improving efficiency and scalability. He will also oversee Syz Bank’s approach to artificial intelligence, identifying opportunities to apply AI responsibly where it can create tangible value for clients and employees.

Nicolas Syz, CEO of Syz Bank, said:

“These strategic appointments reflect our commitment to continuously strengthening Syz Bank for the benefit of our clients. By enhancing both our client-facing leadership and our operating capabilities, we are investing in the people and foundations that will support the Bank’s next phase of growth, while preserving the entrepreneurial spirit, proximity and personalised service that define Syz.”
