Awarded to Banque SYZ for the fifth year running at an awards ceremony held in London on 7 November, this prestigious prize recognises the unique qualities of an institution that is seen as a real success story of the Swiss-based finance scene.

As is the case every year, the "Best Private Banking Boutique" category was closely contested, with candidates including many European and American banks. Made up of a panel of opinion leaders in finance from around the world, the jury said it was impressed with Banque SYZ’s expertise in investing, which is the main differentiator to much of the competition. They noted the bank is moving into new strategies, including private equity.

“Under the leadership of Eric Syz, the bank has matured from a small player into a key name in Switzerland’s private banking landscape, while maintaining the culture, values and innovation of a boutique”, explained Yuri Bender, Editor in Chief of Professional Wealth Management, the organiser of the awards.

“This award is testament to our unwavering focus on addressing our clients’ financial ambitions with long-term financial solutions. It also recognises our differentiated approach in delivering a combination of institutionalised investment processes and tailored investment solutions, including private equity and alternative investments,” says Eric Syz, CEO of SYZ Group.

“To be different, we understand it’s a question of attitude. Our mind-set is to manage our clients’ assets as if it were our own. As entrepreneurs, we feel responsible for everything we do in creating value for our clients”, he adds.
