The incumbent will manage complex and/or escalated banking tax issues at Group level, participate in the design and implementation of tax policies and strategies and evaluate/review related processes to ensure compliance with relevant statutes and regulatory tax codes.
- Manage, follow-up and make sure that any corporate related tax issues (VAT, Swiss stamp tax, Swiss withholding tax) raised within the various Bank departments and/or external providers are solved in a timely manner
- Manage all complex issues and queries pertaining to those taxes and fiscal-related reporting
- Assist WM teams and Compliance teams with analysis of complex structures with a view at determining whether the indicated CRS and FATCA classification is plausible
- Perform regular and ad-hoc reporting related to statistics for internal and external parties
- Generally serve as tax expert across functions within the Bank and act as a business partner by bringing his/her tax expertise (whether for direct or indirect taxes, corporate or individual) for the Operational Tax, Finance, Compliance, Investments and Wealth Planning departments and act as the single point of contact
- Perform analysis on tax suitability for different product launches and offerings and serve as expert with regards to complex tax and wealth planning structures
- Ensure that all internal directives in relation to tax matters are up-to date and applied, with the necessary controls in place
Professional experience
- Min. 7-10 years proven experience in tax management and fiscal reporting within the banking industry and/or in a top-tier consulting firm
- Understanding and experience in a large range tax matters generally embedded in a banking group and clients offering (corporate & individual taxes, direct & indirect taxes, products and investments taxation detection of tax fraud issues, tax reporting, FATCA & CRS issues)

Education:
- Master in Finance or equivalent degree
