Context: As part of its 3-year strategic ambitions, Bank Syz is strengthening its Accounting Unit, under the supervision of the Chief Financial Officer. The Accounting Unit is in charge of preparing the Bank’s financial statements and regulatory statistics, as well as those of the Syz Group’s other operating entities. The Unit has also recently launched an ambitious process-automation program.
Job summary: The Regulatory Reporting Specialist will be in charge of all topics relating to regulatory reporting (Capital Adequacy, LCR, NSFR, Leverage Ratio, IRR) for the Bank and the Group. He/She will also support the Head of Accounting in running regulatory and accounting operations
Primary tasks
- Produce and provide to the Swiss National Bank the regulatory statistics for both Bank Syz SA and the Group’s other operating entities
- Liaise with the Risk team for all matters related to Basel Principles
- Prepare ad-hoc analyses and simulations relating to capital adequacy and advise the Bank and the Group on their corporate actions
Secondary tasks
- Prepare monthly reconciliations for specific accounts
- Assist the Head of Accounting in establishing the end-of-year and half-year financial statements of Bank Syz and of the Syz Group’s other entities
- Carry out ad hoc tasks as requested by the Head of Accounting and the CFO
Professional experience
- 3-5 years’ experience in a bank or an audit firm, in a role focusing on financial regulation, regulatory statistics and capital planning
