Head of Strategic Projects

Context: As part of its 3-year strategic ambitions, Bank Syz is strengthening its project-management capabilities in the form of a dedicated Strategic Projects Unit, under the supervision of the Chief Financial Officer. The Bank’s Executive Committee sees this Unit as critical for driving its transformation initiatives, steering its external-acquisition program, and eventually achieving its revenue-growth and profitability targets.

Job summary: Working closely with the CFO and the CEO, and with the support of a Project Manager, the Head of Strategic Projects will be leading the Strategic Projects Unit, in addition to the key responsibilities listed below.

Your missions
  • Manage the projects and initiatives identified by the Executive Committee as the most critical to the successful achievement of the Bank’s 3-year strategic plan
  • Report to the Bank’s Executive Committee on those projects and initiatives
  • Advise the CFO and the CEO on the Bank’s strategic priorities
  • Contribute to the annual update of the 3-year strategic plan, in collaboration with the Financial Planning & Analysis Unit
  • Support the CFO and the CEO in the preparation of the Board of Directors’ meetings
  • Carry out ad hoc missions as requested by the CFO and the CEO
Your profile

Professional experience

  • 5+ years’ proven experience in a top-tier consulting firm, preferably with a focus on wealth management and/or asset management

  • Expert knowledge of project-management toolkit
  • Excellent organization, planning and execution skills
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • First-rate interpersonal skills, allowing to build trust relationships and networks across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to communicate and influence effectively and persuasively

Language requirements:

  • Excellent command of English and French, both spoken and written

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or Management (or equivalent qualification)
