The Cyber Security Intern will join the Cyber Security team of the Bank for 6 months to support day to day security activities while gaining hands on experience in a regulated financial environment.

Under the supervision of senior security professionals, the intern will contribute to operational security monitoring, cloud security controls, vulnerability management follow up, and security governance activities.

This internship is designed for a student nearing completion of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, providing exposure to real world cyber security operations, tools, and processes within a Swiss private bank.

Le sue missioni

Security Operations & Monitoring (1st Line support – supervised)

  • Support daily monitoring of security alerts and controls under guidance of senior team members.

  • Assist with initial review and classification of security alerts and events.

  • Perform routine checks on selected security controls (e.g. email protection, identity security dashboards).

Microsoft Cloud & Identity Security

  • Assist in monitoring security configurations within Microsoft 365 and Entra ID (Azure AD).

  • Support reviews of identity protection measures such as MFA and conditional access.

  • Contribute to documentation and reporting of cloud security posture against internal baselines.

Vulnerability & Patch Management Support

  • Assist in the coordination and follow‑up of vulnerability scans.

  • Help track remediation actions with IT teams and update status dashboards.

  • Participate in patch management follow‑up for critical systems (tracking and reporting only).

Incident Response Support (learning role)

  • Participate in incident response activities alongside senior cyber security staff.

  • Help document incidents, actions taken, and lessons learned.

  • Support preparation of incident reports and internal communications when required.

Access Control & Governance Support

  • Assist in periodic access reviews for systems and cloud platforms.

  • Support onboarding and offboarding access verification activities.

  • Help validate basic segregation of duties and least‑privilege principles.

Security Governance & Documentation

  • Contribute to maintaining security documentation, procedures, and operational checklists.

  • Support preparation of security metrics and reports for internal stakeholders.

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and security projects.
     

Il suo profilo

Professional experience & competencies:

  • Basic understanding of information security concepts (phishing, malware, access control, vulnerabilities). 

  • Initial exposure to: 

    • Microsoft 365 / Entra ID (Azure AD)

    • Endpoint or email security concepts

    • Cloud or identity security fundamentals

    • Interest in security monitoring, incident response, and governance.

 

Personal competencies:

  • Strong willingness to learn and develop practical cyber security skills. 

  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail. 

  • Good written and verbal communication skills. 

  • Ability to work methodically and follow procedures. 

  • Professional discretion and respect for confidentiality. 

  • Team‑oriented with a proactive attitude.

 

Language requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written command in French and English

Education:

  • Having completed a Bachelor’s degree or in final year of a Master’s degree in: 

    • Cyber Security

    • Computer Science

    • Information Systems

    • or a closely related field

Specific requirements:

Mandatory Swiss residency
